The original name of our company, Welding and Construction Work Aho, was changed in the summer of 2024 to better describe our current, comprehensive machine shop operations. We are now AhoSteel. And our new customer promise says it all.
In connection with the name change, we also updated our company's graphic design to better reflect our offering and service. Our brand video (see below) takes you into 'our world'. We also welcome you to visit us on-site if you are in need of steel expertise!
Last year, we also made acquisitions to further increase our service value, and the capacity of our staff to deliver the services we promise, in line with a standardised process, is being continuously developed. This all adds up directly to our customers, and we are honoured for that.

A comprehensive service combined with a highly refined process creates a stable and reliable basis for contract manufacturing, which is a worry-free and easy way for the customer to ensure the availability of components and parts for a long time in advance.
Storing is also possible if the customer does not have the possibility to easily organise storage. This speeds up availability and reduces the resources needed to make arrangements.

AhoSteel is especially proud of its process. It has been refined and developed over decades and is something we take great pride in. Each of us knows exactly where we fit in, no one has to guess what they are supposed to do and everyone understands how important they are to the company. Everyone has a clear role to play in the whole.
The process is also certified according to ISO 9001:2015 and in August 2024 the operation was also certified according to ISO 3834-2, which ensures, among other things, the uniformity and high quality of the products.
Sustainability is also intrinsically linked to our process, we do everything we can to minimise our carbon footprint. Standardised (ISO 9001) quality management demonstrates a long-term commitment to quality and its further development.
Modern technology, with its automation, robotics and programming, has made our operations even more efficient and accurate.
Technology also helps us to help our customers, e.g. the 3D scanner in the picture below transfers the finished component to a computer for further development.
In 2024, AhoSteel turned 40 years old. With decades of experience and uncompromising customer focus, the company has achieved a solid position in the Finnish manufacturing industry. Founded by Jari Aho, the company has grown from a one-man business to an international engineering company that is already a major employer in its region.
Welding and Construction Aho was chosen as Uusimaa Company of the Year in 2013. Karkkila Entrepreneurs' Association chose Jari Aho together with his wife Marja Tykkyläinen as Karkkila Entrepreneurs of the Year 2018.
